USA Releases First Teaser Trailer for The Purge Season 2
What happens on Purge Night doesn’t stay on Purge Night.
The first glimpse of what fans can expect in Season 2 of The Purge television series was just released. Though the teaser is a mere 20 seconds, viewers see the commencement of the Purge and finish with a cleaning crew removing body bags the next morning. It looks like the new season might even show off more of what happens outside of those twelve hours.
Based on the popular film franchise, which will have its fifth movie released next summer, The Purge is focused on a dystopian America in which the government allows its citizens to act out all forms of violence, up to and including murder, for one night a year without fear of prosecution. The series has so far earned over $447 million to date.
Last year, Purge creator James DeMonaco announced that the franchise would be coming to television. The ten-episode first season ran from September to November 2018. Prior to the Season 1 finale, DeMonaco announced that he intends to end the franchise with a fifth film having a 2020 release date.
An all new cast of characters have already been announced for the upcoming season. Stay tuned to Dead Entertainment for all the latest news on The Purge franchise!
