A new trailer has been released to promote the series based on the successful film franchise, The Purge. Season 2 of the television show is scheduled to premiere on October 15th at 9/8c on USA Network. Feast your eyes on the brand-new trailer in the video embedded above!

Fans of the franchise, in particular The Purge: Anarchy, will recognize one of the key masks in the upcoming season, which is a creative way to connect the film and the series. It is an intriguing move to include the familiar "God" mask that one of the purgers wore in the second film of the franchise. Could there be additional crossovers from film to small screen moments that we can expect?

As we previously reported, Season 2 is promising to focus more on the aftermath of the deadly night. The storylines will explore how the purge effects people the other 364 days of the year, inevitably leading up to 12 more hours of lawless chaos. It’s an ambitious concept considering no Purge film thus far has really focused on what happens after that violent night.

In eager anticipation of the premiere next month, fans can head on over to Hulu and binge-watch the complete first season. Stay tuned to Dead Entertainment for a full review of the premiere episode.

Growing up in Northern Ontario, Canada, I still remember that first time watching The Exorcist as a kid. While others looked away, I took in every pea green puke and head-spinning moment that I could. Since then, horror and music have become passionate hobbies in my life. Although new to the convention scene, I’ve been collecting both horror and music items for over two decades. Two moments that make these hobbies worthwhile were coming face to face with Freddy Krueger himself, the legendary Robert Englund, and shaking hands with guitar icon Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. I started Kaotic Notes back in 2015 to house the numerous reviews, interviews, photos, and videos that I had done, and continue to do so to this day. It’s only rock and roll with a touch of blood and gore. What can go wrong?!
