The Last Drive-In's Joe Bob Briggs Teases Halloween Special
It sounds like the host could have something fun up his sleeve for Shudder next month.
By Chris Morse

The return of Joe Bob Briggs in Shudder's The Last Drive-In was, by all accounts, a smashing success for horror fans, far surpassing the streaming platform's expectations when the initial 24-hour marathon took the entire service down for some time. After two specials, the first season's debut quickly led to a renewal announcement with more episodes on the way, but we haven't heard much since then.
That changed this week with a small social media tease from Briggs himself. Responding to the news that Shudder has set streaming dates for two films, Haunt and The Furies, along with a mysterious "Halloween treat," the host got fans talking with a coy comment about what that mystery could be. See his post for yourself below.
Gee, I wonder what that could be. @Shudder @kinky_horror #TheLastDriveIn https://t.co/Eq6wklvFKt

We can only speculate for now, but it sounds like Shudder has something very Joe Bob Briggs-like on its way for Halloween this year. There are no details on what this special could be, but it's Joe on Halloween with plenty of horror movies at the ready, so what's there not to like about this idea?
We'll keep you posted on the latest news on this mysterious special as well as the upcoming second season right here on Dead Entertainment. Stay tuned!
