Dead by Daylight Finally Welcomes Scream’s Ghostface
It wasn’t the best-kept secret, but it this has been an exciting update to look forward to.
By Chris Morse
Back in early May, Dead by Daylight fans were treated to a bit of an early reveal of the game’s next killer, which was discovered to be Ghostface from Scream (dubbed “The Ghost Face” in the context of the game). Fortunately, developer Behaviour Interactive took the error in stride and soon offered fans the first preview for the character in a neat live-action teaser, promising full details would be revealed at a later date. Now, the killer is here and you can see him in action above!
As the spotlight video demonstrates, Ghost Face brings to the table a power called Night Shroud, which completely hides his terror radius while active, allowing him to lean around corners and stalk Survivors. Those playing this new character can also crouch at any time using the active ability button, which will surely come in handy when stalking your next victims.
You can additionally find a list of the killer’s perks below.
I'm All Ears
Your keen senses are sharpened in the dark realm of The Entity. Any Survivor performing a rushed action outside of your terror radius will have their aura revealed to you for a short duration.
Your dark designs and shrewd composure rouse The Entity. After picking up a Survivor, all Generators not being repaired by Survivors are blocked by The Entity and cannot be repaired for a while. Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.
You lurk in the shadows, eliminating your victims one by one. When your Obsession is hooked, the perk receives a token. Each token decreases your Terror Radius by several meters while in a chase. When a Survivor rescues the Obsession from a hook, the rescuer becomes the Obsession. You lose all your tokens if the Obsession is sacrificed or killed.
Fortunately for those eager to finally get their hands on Ghost Face in Dead by Daylight, the new killer is available now on all platforms. For information on future content updates, be sure to follow Dead Entertainment to stay up-to-date!
