For those of you who just can't get enough of the world of Stranger Things, today is your lucky day! We just received word from Netflix that the series is getting yet another prequel novel and this one is all about police chief Jim Hopper. You may recall Netflix having just released its first novel, called Suspicious Minds, that follows the origin story of Eleven and her mother with respect to the MKUltra program. That book is out now, but you won't have to wait too long to get your hands on the next one.
Titled Darkness on the Edge of Town, the next official Stranger Things novel will explore the secret-filled origins of Chief Hopper. With Eleven under his care, it was about time for him to open up and reveal a little of his past, which is what this novel will be all about as it follows his time as a homicide detective in New York City during the year 1977.
[pullQuote-0]Darkness on the Edge of Town is written by Adam Christopher and will be released on June 4th, 2019, exactly one month before the release of the show's next season. This should give you plenty of time to read through this novel and get ready for the next chapter of the story to unfold in Hawkins, Indiana.
Stranger Things will return with its third season, titled Stranger Things 3, on July 4th, 2019. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the latest updates on the show right here on Dead Entertainment.
