Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is Getting a Christmas Special

Earlier today, Netflix announced its holiday slate through a new promo video called “Holiday Sizzle.” The lineup includes a holiday special for the fantastic Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which we gave a rather positive review of last week, among other titles to get you in the spirit of the upcoming season. Although a second season of the show is already in production, we did not expect to get the chance to return to Greendale so soon, making this quite the nice surprise.

A few scenes are teased in the Netflix promo, showing off Sabrina’s new look, which indicates that this special will take place after the events of the first season. There’s no word yet on what kind of satanic spin the Dark Lord has in store for us but it’s looking to be a fun time. See the video below for a small preview of what’s in store for Greendale this holiday season.

Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also announced the Christmas special on his personal Twitter account, along with a cute graphic and release date for the episode. Check out his tweet below.

The holiday special, titled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, will hit Netflix on December 14th. Praise Satan (and Santa)!
