Claire's Campaign Featured in the Latest Resident Evil 2 Gameplay Footage
Capcom UK couldn't let New York Comic Con have all the fun as they put together this new gameplay stream.

It's been a good couple of weeks since we've last laid eyes on the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake and Capcom has rectified that by holding a livestream event showing off the game's latest demo. In the video above, Capcom UK takes fans through the latest segment of Claire's campaign, overlapping a little bit with previous footage but still showing off a fresh gameplay perspective that should very much match up to the final experience that fans can expect to get their hands on early next year.
The demo includes a mix of regular gameplay, narrative sequences, and a boss encounter as Claire stumbles across young Sherry Birkin and the monster that used to be her father. Also on display is a bit of the gameplay style you can expect from the majority of the game with respect to item and environment interaction as well as the combat.
As we know from earlier coverage, Resident Evil 2 utilizes the modern RE Engine but this remake has more of a classic series feel at the same time. It might just be the perfect marriage of new and traditional in this latest installment of the franchise. Check out the footage above and let us know if you agree.
Resident Evil 2 arrives on January 25th, 2019 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
