Sony Sets Leading Cast for Escape Room Sequel
The upcoming sequel from Sony Pictures welcomes five new faces on top of two returning cast members.

The upcoming sequel to this year's Escape Room has found its leading cast members, as reported by Deadline earlier today. Considering the huge box office success of the first film, which follows six strangers trapped in a deadly maze, it's not too surprising to see Sony Pictures moving forward quickly on another, which is set to hit theaters late next summer.
According to the report, Escape Room 2 has added Holland Roden (Teen Wolf, Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block), Indya Moore (Pose, Queen & Slim), Thomas Cocquerel (Table 19, The 100), and Carlito Olivero (East Los High, Step Up: High Water), joining the previously-announced Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan, The Hunger Games). Also returning are Taylor Russell and Logan Miller from the first movie.
Specific plot details are still being kept under wraps, but we can take a guess and figure the sequel is probably going to involve people trapped in a deadly, real-life maze. Adam Robitel is returning to direct for this film, which is written by Bragi F. Schut with Neal H. Moritz producing.
Escape Room 2 is scheduled to be released sometime in August 2020. Follow Dead Entertainment for all the latest news and updates on this movie and much more!
