New Castle Rock Teaser Takes You on a Long Drive

You will want to buckle up for this trip with "misery" awaiting you on the other side.

A new video released today to promote Castle Rock will quite literally take you on a long drive, but it's a journey chock full of Easter eggs with an eventual payoff in the form of a Season 2 preview.

Fans of Stephen King's work will want to pay attention to this one, but with the footage running for nearly 15 minutes, we understand those who might want to jump ahead to see what's new ahead of the Hulu series' second season premiere. We'll leave that up to you but if you're looking for another preview of the show, feel free to skip ahead to the 13-minute mark and enjoy!

In Season 2 of the television series, which will be putting a fresh spin on King’s 1987 novel, Misery, Lizzy Caplan plays the part of psychopath nurse Annie Wilkes. The novel was adapted to film back in 1990 as James Caan and Kathy Bates took on the leading roles of a famous author and his psychotic fan-turned-captor, respectively.

The cast also includes Tim Robbins (Here and Now), Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Garrett Hedlund (Tron), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Yusra Warsama (Call the Midwife), and Matthew Alan (13 Reasons Why). Guest starring is Robin Weigert (Deadwood), Sarah Gadon (True Detective), Alison Wright (The Americans), and Greg Grunberg (Heroes).
