Earlier today, Bohemia Interactive released a teaser trailer announcing that their popular zombie survival game DayZ is making its way to the Xbox One as a part of Game Preview. In case you're unfamiliar with it, Game Preview is essentially an early access program exclusively for Microsoft's home gaming console.

Bohemia had previously announced late last year that they planned to bring DayZ to the Xbox One and, most recently, some Xbox Insiders were invited to a closed preview in order to test out the game ahead of its widespread release.

DayZ has been in early access on Steam since 2013, although it originally began life as a mod for military simulation game Arma, also developed by Bohemia Interactive. It is part free-roaming survival simulator and part battle royale with both PVE and PVP elements.

While players can work together to fend off zombies, DayZ is notorious for its hostile interactions with other players which can include tying them up as a hostage and essentially torturing them. From force-feeding them to playing Russian roulette, the game has been known to bring the grievers out in full force.

DayZ will be available as an Xbox Game Preview starting on August 29th.
