Although these shows take place in the same universe, there are no current plans to bridge the gap.

Yet another destination of the TCA summer press tour this week was Riverdale, where CW president Mark Pedowitz and Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa spoke about their Archie Comics-inspired television shows and dished on a few details to keep us filled in on what to expect. Via Deadline, the most notable piece of information to come out of this event is that there are currently no planned crossovers between Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina at this time

The pair confirmed that Sabrina will not be appearing on Riverdale and no Riverdale characters will be appearing on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. While this might be disappointing to some fans, the intent is to develop each show and make sure they both have their own unique identities, as explained by Aguirre-Sacasa in his comments below.

He also added that another Riverdale spin-off is in the works but if these other comments are any indication, that series will likely have little to do with teenage witchery either.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Jaz Sinclair, and Bronson Pinchot. Its first season will hit Netflix on October 26th.
