Well, this sucks. After months of speculation, Starz officially announced that it has cancelled Ash vs Evil Dead following the conclusion of its 3rd season. The series has been thought to be on the bubble for some time, with the creators of the show opting to create a conclusive season 3 finale which could act as a series finale if it was indeed cancelled, but this announcement has made it official. Long-time franchise star Bruce Campbell had the following to say on Twitter about the show's cancellation.

We certainly hope this isn't the last we will see of Ash Williams or the deadites throughout our lifetimes, but that could very well be the case with the TV series now being put to rest. The Evil Dead franchise getting 3 seasons on the air is certainly a good run for a quality horror television show, but we here at Dead Entertainment are all disappointed nonetheless.

Tune in for the series finale of Ash vs Evil Dead next week on Sunday, April 29th.
