Short Horror Film Asks Why They Want to "Be Us"

Check out this six-minute Sci-Fi horror short film from Alex DiVicenzo.

Every once and a while, we here at Dead Entertainment like to point out some cool content that we come across online. This is especially true of excellent independent horror films. Today I wanted to showcase a six-minute sci-fi/horror short film called Be Us. This short was written by Alex DiVicenzo and TJ Frizzi, directed by DiVicenzo, and stars Frizzi as Charles Allen, a man who survived a close encounter with otherworldy being. Allen is being interviewed about his experience which you can tell has had a significant impact on him. I don't want to spoil anything else about the film, as I think it speaks for itself. Be Us has been making rounds at local film festivals since 2017 and is just now being released to the general public!

So what did you think of the short? I thought it was simple, yet engaging and really enjoyed the "one room, one actor" approach. We'll be sure to share more of these kinds of short films in the future. DiVicenzo's next effort, The Misplaced, is set to premiere at the always awesome Boston Underground Film Festival later this month. I personally am looking forward to checking it out.
