Overkill's "The Walking Dead" Gets First Trailer
Introducing Aidan, the game's first playable character.
By Chris Morse
To line up with the midseason finale of The Walking Dead, game developer Overkill has released the first trailer for its upcoming adaption of the popular horror series. There have been a few video games set in the zombie-filled universe, most notably Telltale's episodic hit and their follow-up seasons, but not many others have been successful thus far. Overkill's take on The Walking Dead is set in Washington D.C. and will follow original characters as they face the apoclaypse.
In true Walking Dead fashion, the enemies aren't just the dead, but the living as well. This game is described as a "four player co-op action FPS" and will release in Fall 2018, though a concrete date has not yet been announced. The game will have a heavy emphasis on teamwork and four total playable characters, each with their own skills and customization options. Does this trailer sell you on this title's potential, or do you think it will end up being another forgetful spin-off? Discuss below!
