Fan-Made Silent Hill Film Makes its Premiere
Silent Hill Requiem has been released after being crowdfunded back in 2014.
By Chris Morse
While the Silent Hill series has largely gone on hiatus in light of Konami's recent strategy shift, fans have continued to pour their hearts into the franchise that brought them so many scares over the years. Take Silent Hill Requiem, for example, a fan-made film crowdfunded back in 2014 by Gareth Morgan. After a few years of production, the creator's take on the Silent Hill universe has finally been released and you can watch the first 13 minutes here.
Silent Hill Requiem brings back Heather Mason, James Sunderland, and Henry Townshend for another trip to our favorite fog-filled town. If you did not back this project way back when and want to see more, don't fret, you can get your full copy of the film by donating to Morgan's next project on Indiegogo. Silent Hill Lazarus is a sequel to Requiem produced by the same team and will be presented as a 12-part web series.
For more information, check out the Indiegogo page above and, while you're at it, consider supporting independent creators by making a donation to the project. After all, it's great to see the series getting some attention after Konami left it behind.
