During the Inside Xbox panel at Gamescom 2019, Metro Exodus developer 4A Games dropped the reveal trailer for the game’s first piece of downloadable content, “The Two Colonels.”  What is particularly exciting about this new update is that the action is being taken back underground. While the broader game shifted the series to a large open-world above ground, this DLC feels like a throwback to the claustrophobic chaos of Metro 2033 and Last Light.

The Two Colonels update follows the story of Colonel Khlebnikov, father of Kirill, as Colonel Miller retraces his steps in the doomed station at Novosibirsk. Beware the insidious slime that infests the tunnels, bringing even more mutants with it. Discover the story of the ill-fated residents and wield a brand new weapon, the flame-thrower. Metro Exodus’ The Two Colonels is available now on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Have you given the latest Metro a go yet? If not, this is a great time to dive in.
