As expected, Mike Flanagan’s creepy and fantastic The Haunting of Hill House will live on in the form of an anthology series. Netflix announced earlier today that the next chapter in its Haunting series is The Haunting of Bly Manor, which will arrive sometime in 2020 with Flanagan at the helm once again. The director previously stated that while the story of the Crain family has concluded, he might be interested in doing an anthology, which is exactly what is happening now.

The official social media accounts for the show started the fun by teasing that “a new Haunting is coming” before unveiling the title and inspiration for the story in a follow-up post. You can check both of these out for yourself below.

The new story will be based on Henry James’ 1898 horror novella, The Turn of the Screw, which tells the story of a governess who becomes convinced that the grounds of her remote estate are haunted as she raises her two children there. Much like with The Haunting of Hill House, we can expect this adaptation of the source material to be somewhat loose, but we have no doubt it will be every bit as gripping and terrifying as Hill House was.

The Haunting of Bly Manor will premiere sometime in 2020, but no further details are available at this time. Be sure to stay tuned to Dead Entertainment for all the latest news and updates on the Haunting series in the coming weeks and months.
