According to The Hollywood Reporter, James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class, Split) and Bill Hader (Tropic Thunder, Inside Out) are in negotiations to join It: Chapter Two. The only confirmed cast so far for the film are Bill Skarsgård (as Pennywise) and Jessica Chastain (as adult Beverly Marsh). James McAvoy is rumored to play as adult Bill Benbrough while Bill Hader is rumored to play as adult Richie Tozier.

The film is of course the follow-up to last years It, which told the first part of the story when the Loser’s Club were just young kids. It: Chapter Two tells of the other half of the story and takes place nearly three decades later when the club is called back to the town of Derry to finish what they started. Both films are based off of Stephen King’s classic 1986 horror novel It, which is arguably King’s most notable work.

It: Chapter Two is scheduled to begin production in July with a set release date of September 6th, 2019. Andy Muschietti (It, Mama) is expected to return as the director with Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle) returning to write the screenplay as well.
