Supermassive Games has revealed one last trailer for its upcoming title, Man of Medan, which marks the debut of the studio’s “Dark Pictures” anthology of horror video games featuring different stories as told by one mysterious host named the Curator. Future games will continue this tradition with their own all-new stories, but this particular title arrives on Friday and its final trailer looks to bring you on board.
There is plenty of new footage, both of the cinematics and of the gameplay, so dive right in and give it a watch now. When you’re done, read on for more information on the upcoming game.
In Man of Medan, a group set sail on a holiday diving trip in search of a rumored World War II wreckage in the South Pacific. However, as the day unfolds and a life-threatening storm rolls in, their trip soon turns into a battle for survival.
This title is the first entry in a series of standalone cinematic horror games in the Dark Pictures anthology. Players are dropped into a choose-your-own-adventure experience and given the opportunity to unravel the story as they see fit, but the choices that are made may come with both good and bad outcomes, depending on how the narrative ultimately plays out.
Man of Medan releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 30th, 2019. Stay tuned to Dead Entertainment for updates regarding this title.
