Rumors, leaks, and speculation have led us to this big reveal and it did not disappoint one bit.

It's been a whirlwind of rumors and leaks over the past few weeks, but today's official reveal of the Resident Evil 3 remake made it all worth the wait and with a surprising twist at that. As it turns out, there's a very good reason Capcom was showing off its upcoming multiplayer spinoff title as "Project Resistance," which is because the overall effort also included this much-anticipated classic survival horror reimagining.
Launching April 3rd, 2020 is a fresh new take on Resident Evil 3 with the online multiplayer game Resident Evil Resistance also included free of charge. Fans who were disappointed with the studio's focus on that title can rest easy knowing that the remake was all part of the plan to begin with. The four-month wait only sweetens the pot with this whole release right around the corner.
Also announced for North American console players is a special Collector's Edition of the game. This limited-edition package will include a physical copy of the title, a high-quality Jill Valentine figure, a printed artbook, a poster-size map of Raccoon City, and a digital copy of the game's soundtrack. Those who pre-order will also receive an exclusive Classic Costume Pack featuring Jill's original design and Carlos Oliveira's much-less-spectacular classic hair.
Additionally, Capcom posted a special video message from the developers featuring a recap of both games, character profiles for Jill and Carlos, a confirmation that the gameplay will resemble that of Resident Evil 2 with its over-the-shoulder camera, and even a mention that Nemesis will be even more relentless than the last title's Tyrant, Mr. X. It also includes a closer look at the previously-mentioned Collector's Edition items. Give that a watch just below.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is set around the events of Resident Evil 2 and follows former S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine as she seeks to escape from Raccoon City before its certain destruction. The only catch is that Umbrella has deployed Nemesis, a powerful bio-organic weapon, to hunt down and eliminate anybody who knows the truth behind the outbreak.
In Resident Evil Resistance, four Survivors work together to take on one Mastermind. Each character has his or her own unique benefits and playstyles, all of which are necessary for making it through a match alive. The Mastermind, on the other hand, will track the Survivors through a network of security cameras, staying one step ahead by creating obstacles, summoning monsters, manipulating the environment, and even taking direct control of zombies to build the ultimate deadly challenge.
Both titles will release together in one package on April 3rd, 2020. As always, Dead Entertainment has you covered with all the latest news and information regarding this release and horror gaming in general. Stay tuned!
