It's not every day we get a brand-new announcement followed immediately by a release, but in the case of State of Decay 2's big E3 2019 reveal, we are perfectly fine with that. Undead Labs' zombie survival game made an appearance during Microsoft's press conference earlier this evening with the reveal trailer for its latest downloadable content update, titled Heartland. Give it a watch above!
The DLC, which is now available, is the first story-based content update for the title, boasting a new map based on Trumbull Valley from the original State of Decay and featuring all new enemies, including the plague-infected bloaters, screamers, ferals, and juggernauts. Heartland will allow players to revisit familiar people and places to see how they've been changed by the ongoing apocalypse.
This update is included for free with the Xbox Game pass or can be purchased for $9.99 otherwise. As previously mentioned, Heartland is available now so you can purchase and jump right into it anytime.
State of Decay 2 is Microsoft-exclusive and is available only for Xbox One and PC.
